Everson, WA – The final tune up before next week’s Clay Cup Nationals is in the books after a busy night at Deming Speedway. 108 cars signed in to take on the Dave Key Classic with action sponsored by Texmo Buildings, Brent Rents and Skagit Speedway with Jared Peterson, Nate Vaughn, Hudson Little and Cole Dishneau winning the main events. 

The Speedmart 600s brought 46 cars to battle it out for the $1200 to win Dave Key Classic and it was Jared Peterson looking dominant heading into Clay Cup in taking the wire to wire 30 lap A Main win. Jared was never seriously challenged as the action raged behind him for second. Colton Key ended up taking the runner up spot with Austin Torgerson coming out on top of the battle for third. 

Similar to Peterson, Nate Vaughn looked in prime shape in the final race before Clay Cup, leading all 30 laps of the main event in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 class. Vaughn had Kyle Mitchell in close proximity for most of the race but would keep him far enough away to take the win. Mitchell ran second while Dakota Drake was third. 

Hudson Little made it back to back wins in the Doyle Guffie’s Rallye Auto Sales 600 restricted class. Hudon held the race lead over eventual runner up Dayton Empey the whole way, even through heavy traffic, as he made it back to back wins. Empey now has back to back runner up finishes with Hudson Johnson taking third. 

Cole Dishenau ran to the win the Capstone Plastering JR Sprints. Dishneau withstood heavy pressure from Luke Coates over the course of the race but never panicked and took the top prize on the night after leading every lap. Coates was second and Kayson Sargent finished third. Of note, it was the first time all year Lucas Fisher finished off the podium – Fisher would advance to fifth place in tonight’s feature.
