Thomas, Lemley, Ramsey & Johnson Win at Deming Speedway

8/18/23

Everson, WA – A fast night of racing at Deming Speedway concluded with four winners standing tall in victory lane on a sun soaked Friday night. Racing action was sponsored by Baxter’s Excavating, Stremler Gravel and Blue Line Home Service and the nights winners were Tristin Thomas, Brock Lemley, Dustin Ramsey and Hudson Johnson.

In the Speedmart 600 open class, it was a dogfight out front between Thomas and eventual runner up Spencer Constance. The pair ran close nearly every lap, with Thomas managing to keep Constance at bay long enough to take his first win at Deming Speedway in roughly 7 years. Constance would get a season best second with Macie Logsdon running third. Heat winners were Constance and Logsdon.

Brock Lemley went unchallenged in his wire to wire run for the win in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 division. After getting the jump on the initial start, Lemley was gone, expertly weaving past traffic to secure the victory ahead of Jared Gundersen and Derek Holmwood. Lemely also won the first heat race of the night, while Levi Klatt won heat race number two.

Action was heavy in the Mytrafficman.NET 600 Restricted main event. Fairah Lee set out in search of her first feature win with Dustin Ramsey following her as the pair hit slower traffic midway into the main event. Lee found a path on the higher end of the track while Ramsey committed to the low side, and on lap 17, Ramsey found room underneath Fairah coming out of the fourth turn to make what was the race winning pass. Lee finished a career best second with Zoey Tupper rounding out the podium. Avery Touchette, Tupper and Chase Jensen were the heat winners.

Hudson Johnson now has two wins in the Capstone Plastering JR Sprints. Johnson got by Hayden Cook on lap four to take the lead and the eventual win ahead of Madi Hoppe and Kole Campbell. Hoppe and Campbell were the heat race winners as well.
