Everson, WA – The second night of Wingless Weekend at Deming Speedway ended with five different winners from Friday night’s show. Racing was sponsored by the Silver Reef Casino and Lemley Family Media and winners on the night were Cameron Paul, Nate Vaughn, Alex Peck, Hudson Little and Kayson Sargent. 

In the Speedmart 600 class, Cameron Paul rolled to his first win at Deming Speedway by leading all 25 laps of the non-wing feature. Paul maintained a solid lead all race long in taking the win and earning the $1,000 boosted pay day from Lemley Family Media, with Jared Peterson racing to second and Spencer Constance taking third. Heat race wins went to Paul, Tristin Thomas, Tank Chorney and Carson Guffie. 

The Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 non wing feature went to Nate Vaughn in a hard fought battle. Vaughn capitalized on a mistake by Kyle Mitchell on lap 10, driving underneath him after Mitchell slapped the wall to take the lead. Nate would go the rest of the way to take the win, with Mitchell running second and Peyton Drake bringing home third. Jaden Thomas and Parker Hadlock won the heats. 

Alex Peck went wire to wire for the win in the NW Focus Midgets, but not without working hard for it. Michael Vollbrecht paced Peck for nearly every lap of the race, using the low groove to stay within a half car length of Peck for the whole contest. Peck was up to the challenge, hitting his marks around the top each lap to take the win, with Michael earning an impressive second place and Brad Aumen taking a career best third in the division. Aumen was also a heat race winner, along with Shane Smith and Jeff Westergard. 

Hudson Little was dominant in the Doyle Guffie’s Rallye Auto Sales 600 Restricted class. Little led every lap of the feature comfortably in taking the win, finishing ahead of Owen Hill in second and Drake Wiersma in third. Heat race winners on the night were Dayton Empey, Jayce Medcalf, Delilah Stermer and Brooklyn Bracy. 

The Capstone Plastering Jr Sprints opened the night of racing and Kayson Sargent picked up the feature win. Sargent ran away from the field and hid, taking the win by a comfortable distance. Luke Coates worked his way up to second but did not have time to chop into Sargent’s lead in the race that went green to checkered without a caution. DJ Stermer was third after winning his heat race. Hunter Holden won the other heat race.
