Everson, WA – The final race night of July has come and gone with four more winners emerging at Deming Speedway on Friday night. Racing action was sponsored by Capstone Plastering and Bailey’s Tire with the races being won by Jared Peterson, Kyle Mitchell, Owen Hill and Luke Coates. 

Peterson’s dominance in the Speedmart 600 division continued on Friday night. Fresh off his Clay Cup win, Peterson led laps 5-30 for another feature win on the year. Coupled with points leader Tristin Thomas exiting early after a wreck, the points battle in the class tightened up significantly after this race. Dominic Carter raced to second while Cooper Anderson took a strong third. Heat wins went to Dylan Resch, Corbin Ramsey and Reese Wickard. 

Kyle Mitchell was the man on Friday night in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 class. Mitchell had worked up to second place when race leader Jayden Whitney dropped out after lap nine, handing Kyle the top spot. He would keep Nate Vaughn at distance for the rest of the contest to take the win, leading Vaughn and Alex Lewis to the podium. Alex Lewis and Whitney were the heat winners. 

In the Doyle Guffie’s Rallye Auto Sales 600 Restricted class, Owen Hill went wire to wire for his first 600 Restricted win. Owen took his feature win ahead of Dayton Empey and Hudson Little. Hill also won his heat race, along with Samantha Fraser, Savanna Hillier and Corbin McLeod. 

The top spot in the Capstone Plastering JR Sprints went to Luke Coates, who led every lap of the main event on the evening. Following Luke to victory lane were Cole Dishneau in second and Austin Harris in third. Harris won the first heat race of the night while Kayson Sargent won heat two.
