Everson, WA – A rapid moving night at Deming Speedway ended with an absolute thriller of a main event in the 600 division, where Ryley Mayer ended up taking him his second win of 2022. Joining him as winner’s on Speedmart / Pacific Power Batteries night were Tyson Lemley, Avery Touchette and Chase Whitney. 

While the lead never changed hands in the Speedmart 600 Open main event, the lead was in question nearly every lap around. Ryley Mayer powered to the lead on lap one, but Levi Hillier and Colin Mackey were right on his tail quickly. The trio used up every inch of Deming Speedway as the sped around the track, with Mayer consistently changing line sto keep his pursuers off balance, with Hillier and Mackey frequently maneuvering to run the groove where Mayer wasn’t. Hillier tried a slidejob late in the contest through the first and second turns, but Ryley executed a perfect crossover to retake the lead for good entering turn three. At the drop of the checkered flag, the crowd roared as Mayer picked up the win, with Mackey getting Levi for second on the final lap. Mayer also won a heat race, as did Levi Kuntz and Jesse Schlotfeldt. 

Tyson Lemley grabbed victory from the jaws of defeat in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 division. Lemley would lead every lap of the race but nearly had it taken away from him, as he pulled a 360 degree spin in front of the field at the halfway point of the feature. Per Deming Speedway rules, Lemley never stopped on the track and despite the yellow flag flying, was given his spot back at the front of the field, where he’d roll away to the win. Derek Holmwood made a final corner pass on Jared Gundersen to set the podium. Tyson Lemley, Levi Klatt and Alex Lewis won the heat races. 

The first career win for Avery Touchette in the Mytrafficman.NET 600 Restricted class came in impressive fashion, as Avery led all 25 laps of the main event and was never seriously challenged for the top spot. He was followed to the line by Dean Lehmann who picked up a career best second place result and Mallory Fisher in third. Touchette was also a heat race winner, as were Fairah Lee and Peyton Drake. 

Chase Whitney worked hard to put another win in the bank for him and his team in the Clean Crawls JR Sprints. Cooper Anderson led the first 13 laps of the race, but on lap 14, Whitney made a timely move amongst slower cars to take the top spot and eventual win. Anderson would take second, with Colton Knapp taking third. Knapp also won a heat race, as did Kole Campbell.
