Everson, WA – For the third time in 2023, Brock Lemley was the dominant force in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 division on a sun drenched Friday night at Deming Speedway. Levi Hillier, Jeff Westergard, Sawyer Baxter and Madi Hoppe won the other feature events. 

Traffic was heavy early and often for Lemley in his 25 lap main event, but he was up to the challenge each time. Brock would lead all 25 laps of the main while carving through slower cars en route to his third victory of the season, ahead of Derek Holmwood and Tyson Cross, Heat wins went to Brock, Clennon Holloway and Jared Gundersen. 

Levi Hillier made a pass on the bottom groove on lap four to take the lead and eventual win in the Speedmart 600 Open class. With race leader Levi Kuntz committed to the high side, Hillier was patient in moving forward on the and after securing the lead, went the rest of the way for the victory. Jared Peterson raced from sixth to second, driving for car owner Andy Pelham for the first time. Third went to Kuntz, who along with Peterson and Colin Mackey won heat races. 

For the first time in his career, Jeff Westergard brought home a win at Deming Speedway. Racing with the NW Focus Midgets, Westergard drove through the bottom of turns one and two on the opening lap of the main event and when the front row washed up raceway, found himself in the lead. He would roll the rest of the 25 lap feature in the top spot for the win, followed by Michael Hodel and Levi Harless who put on a wild show over the final two laps to determine second and third place. Harless and Ashley Thompson won the heat races. 

The biggest drama of the night came in the Mytrafficman.NET 600 Restricted class, where Dustin Ramsey and Sawyer Baxter locked horns on the final two laps to determine the winner. The pair raced side by side for the final couple of laps around Deming Speedway, and as the checkered flag dropped, Baxter slid just slightly ahead as he won his first career main event in the division by just mere hundredths of a second over Ramsey in a thrilling run to the wire. Cooper Anderson was third. Heat wins went to David Greene, Hunter Cook, Ramsey and Avery Touchette. 

For the third time on the year, Madi Hoppe earned the top spot in the Capstone Plastering JR Sprints. Madi drove underneath Kole Campbell on lap 12 to take the top spot and eventually, the victory. For Campbell, it was a career best second place finish ahead of third place running Hudson Johnson. Hoppe and Johnson earned heat race wins.
