Holm Scores 3rd Deming Win
5/11/18
Everson, WA – Familiar faces adorned victory lane at Deming Speedway on Judd & Black / Washington Tractor night, with three of the four classes featuring repeat winners. Tanner Holm won his third main of the year, and was joined in victory lane by Seth Hespe, Dakota Drake and Levi Hillier.

Tanner Holm has been the top dog at Deming Speedway this year, winning three of four feature races in the Speedmart Hoosier 600 Open division. Chance Crum held serve in the early going, setting a torrid pace while Holm moved in to challenge. As the pair hit traffic, Holm used a slower car like a basketball style pick, forcing Crum up track as he shot to the low groove out of turn four to take the lead on lap 16. Crum tucked in behind Holm and tried to retake the top spot, but Tanner slammed the door and went on to the lead the final nine laps en route to victory lane. Crum would settle for the two spot with Kyle Mitchell finishing third. Liam Ryan, Sean Ferguson and Austin Sheridan won the heat races.
The only first time winner of the year was in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 class. Seth Hespe went wire to wire in taking the victory, holding off a strong challenge from second place finisher Jared Gundersen. Clennon Holloway made a late race pass to take the third spot. Hespe and Frosty Metcalf were the heat winners.

Dakota Drake dominated a caution filled Mytrafficman.NET 600 restricted main event. With the main shortened to 16 laps for time constraints, Drake led all 16 laps unchallenged in taking her second straight win. Jeremy Holz and Parker Hadlock filled out the podium. Heat winners were Jesson Jacobson, Allison Johnson, Audrey Balmert and Brody Ferguson.

Levi Hillier made it back to back wins in the Kasey Kahne Junior Sprints. HIller chased down race long leaders Axle Oudman and passed him low on lap 14 to score the lead and eventual victory. Oudman fought through heavy lapped traffic to take second with Carson Guffie running third. Heat wins went to Peyton Drake, Jaden Whitney and Oudman.
