Familiar Winners Again Grace Victory Lane at Deming Speedway

Everson, WA – Peterson, Lemley, Hillier. The preceding three last names have now won an astounding 19 A Main events in their respective divisions, going 19 out of the last 24 features respectively. Those three drivers were joined by first time winner Jake Trueman in victory lane at Deming Speedway on Friday night with racing sponsored by Texmo Buildings and Les Schwab. 

Jared Peterson took the longest to take control of his race in the Speedmart 600 Open division. Starting eighth on the field, Peterson appeared to stall out in third before heavy lapped traffic gave him the openings he needed to pass second place Reese Wickard with seven laps to go and race leader Cody Hogarth coming to the white flag before scoring the win. Peterson has now won five of the past eight features in the class. Heat wins went to Sawyer Sorgenfrei, Derek Torkelson and Dakota Drake. 

Starting seventh, Brock Lemley was up and into the lead on a lap nine restart in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 class, driving underneath Tanner Reid in turn two to take the lead, then carving through slower traffic en route to his sixth win in the past seven contests. Reid was a career best runner up with Derek Holmwood taking third. Lemley, Holmwood and Reid all won heat races. 

The one new winner on the night was Jake Trueman in the Mytrafficman.NET 600 restricted division. Keira Zylstra led early but left the door open down low for Trueman to take the lead on lap 13. Trueman would hold off Brody Ferguson and Levi Klatt late to score his first Deming Speedway win. Trueman, Haley Constance and Tyler Conley won heat races. 

Levi Hillier now has eight feature wins on the year and five in a row in the Clean Crawls Junior Sprints. Starting eighth, Hillier was up to third by the opening lap and after patiently waiting for the high side to open up, drove around Dustin Ramsey for the lead and win on lap four. Peyton Drake moved to second and finished there with Kane Van Sickle winning an intense battle for third. Heat wins went to Hillier and Levi Kuntz
