Everson, WA – Clap Cuy 43 is in the books and after a fantastic night of racing, two new champions were crowned and two more champions earned Clay Cup wins to add to their trophy case. 

In the $10,000 to win Speedmart 600 finale, Jared Peterson raced to his fifth career Clay Cup Championship. Jared took the lead from Cody Key on lap seven and developed a gigantic advantage before multiple cautions brought the field back to him. After the final caution on lap 33, Peterson reestablished his lead and would run away to the win, his fifth in teh 600 division and second in a row for car owners Andy & Breanna Pellham. Tanner Holm took his career best second place finish at Clay Cup, with Colton Key running to third. The John & Sylvia Heerspink Hard Charger award went to Spencer Constance. 

Nate Vaughn raced to his second straight win in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 division. Vaughn led all 40 laps of the main event for the $5,000 top prize. Kyle Mitchell trailed Vaughn for most of the contest, showing him a nose once or twice but the night belonged to Vaughn in taking the win. Mitchell was second while hard charger Jaden Thomas took third. 

The Doyle Guffie’s Rallye Auto Sales 600 Restricted division took to the track for a 30 lap A Main for $3,500 to win. Hudson Little led the first 12 laps before Dayton Empey found a line off the top of turn four to rocket past Little heading into turn one and into the lead. Little would pressure Empey over the remainder of the race, but it was Empey scoring his first Clay Cup win at the end of 30 laps in front of the huge Clay Cup crowd. Little and Sage Parker rounded out the podium, while Gio Anderlini was hard charger. 

In 2025, Kayson Sargent suffered heartbreak at Clay Cup, losing the lead in the last few laps and ending up runner up to Lucas Fisher. On Saturday night of this year’s Clay Cup, Sargent found redemption, leading all 25 laps of the main event for the win and $1,000, keeping Fisher at bay over the final few circuits. Fisher completed a strong weekend by running second and Jace Coates got his first Clay Cup podium with a third. Eme Askvig took hard charger honors for an extra $843.
