Everson, WA – Another fun night of racing action at Deming Speedway saw Derek Holmwood continue his impressive streak of laps led in the 1200 division, as well as three other drivers winning their first features of the year (and in one case, career) in impressive fashions. Joining Holmwood in victory lane were Ryley Mayer, Corbin Ramsey and Brooklyn Constance.
Derek Holmwood has now led the last 75 laps of main event action in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 division, as he know has three wins in a row in the class. Holmwood led most of the race with Dakota Drake in tow before a tangle with lapped traffic knocked Drake from contention with seven laps left. Chance Crum restarted behind Derek but had nothing for him, as Holmwood made it three straight in the class. Crum and Clennon Holloway rounded out the podium and Holloway and Holmwood won the heats.
Parker Hadlock and Ryley Mayer had an intense battle at the front of the Speedmart 600 open feature. With Hadlock low and Mayer high, it was Ryley using the entire upper groove and at times the wall to make his move past Hadlock on lap 16 en route to the win. Hadlock kept Mayer close but settled for second with Haley Constance taking third. Heat wins went to Hadlock and Dakota Drake.
The thrilling conclusion of the Mytrafficman.NET 600 Restricted main event had the crowd buzzing. Carson Guffie led 24 and ¾ laps but left the low groove just open enough for Corbin Ramsey to sneak underneath him, giving Ramsey the lead with the last corner, last lap pass. Guffie would have to settle for second while Keira Zylstra was third. Peyton Drake and Guffie were the heat race winners.
Brooklyn Constance picked up her first career win in the Clean Crawls JR Sprints. Starting 8th, Constance methodically worked her way up the field until race leader Clayton Jalakas got a little squirrely, giving Brooklyn a lane to drive by for her first victory. Dustin Ramsey and Sawyer Baxter rounded out the podium. Colton Knapp and Constance won the heat races.
