Hillier’s Win Again at Deming Speedway

6/13/25

Everson, WA – For the second time on the year, the Hillier Siblings picked up wins on the same night at Deming Speedway. With racing sponsored by Hillier Industries, Scrap it Stow It and TJ Forged, Levi Hillier took the win in 600 class while Savanna Hillier was the victor in the JR Sprints. Joining them in victory lane were Jared Gundersen and Jayce Medcalf.

The highlight of the night was the battle in traffic for the lead in the Speedmart 600 division. David Greene held the top spot amongst heavy traffic until lap 16 when Levi Hillier found a clean path around the top to sneak his way into the top spot. Greene and Colin Mackey stayed close and both bid for the lead until a lap 18 yellow flag gave Hillier a reprieve and clean air for the rest of the way. Hillier would streak away to take the win, with Greene holding on to second over Mackey who finished third.

Jared Gundersen dominated the field for his second feature win of the year in the Shot 2 Go Espresso 1200 division. Jared led every lap for the win. Seth Hespe spent all race in second while Derek Holmwood ran third.

It was the first winning effort of the year for Jayce Medcalf in the Doyle Guffie’s Rallye Auto Sales 600 Restricted class. Things got hairy for Medcalf with slower traffic late in the race but Jayce kept his composure and made the right move at the right time to secure the win ahead of Clayton Jalakas and McKenna Morgan.

In the Capstone Plastering JR Sprints, Savanna Hillier picked up her second career main event win. Savanna led all 20 laps for the win, with Luke Coates making a late race pass for a career best second place finish and Lucas Fisher taking home third.

83 cars signed in for competition on the night with the final checkered flag falling at 9:33pm.
