Alger, WA – A busy night at Deming Speedway at the start of Memorial Day Weekend saw 102 cars sign in across five divisions of competition. David Greene, Seth Hespe, Colton Knapp and Owen Hill won in the four regular divisions, with Jared Peterson taking top honors for the visiting NW Focus Midgets in the Third Annual K Bucks Classic. Racing on the night was sponsored by Phillips 66 and Stedman Powdercoating. 

The Speedmart 600 class was the nightcap of the evening where David Greene kept Colin Mackey at bay for 25 laps in a caution ridden A Main event for his first victory of the year. Mackey tried almost everything but settled for second with Corbin Ramsey racing to third. 

In the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 class, Seth Hespe outdueled the field for his first feature win of 2025. Hespe and Derek Holmwood traded the lead back and forth a couple of times early before Hespe took it for good on the fourth lap and was never challenged after in taking his win. Holmwood would take second and Kyle Mitchell ran third. 

The NW Focus Midgets were in the house for the 3rd annual K Bucks Classic, with Andrew Kunas and various sponsors raising over $4,300 extra dollars to the purse money. For the third straight year, it was Jared Peterson taking the top prize leading all twenty five laps of the main events for a total payday of over $1,000 when bonus money is figured in. Jeff Westergard was second with Shane Smith advancing from eighth to third at the checkered flag, earning hard charger. 

Colton Knapp continues to be the dominant car in the Doyle Guffie’s Rallye Auto Sales 600 Restricted division. Knapp went wire to wire for another win on Friday night, pushing his season win total up around double digits when you factor in his racing out of state. Clayton Jalakas was second with Chloe Danielson taking third, 

Owen Hill substituted for Jaxon Bishop on the night and drove his way to victory lane in the Capstone Plastering JR Sprints. Hill took the lead in heavy traffic from Luke Coates on lap 10 and held off Hayden Cook and Kayson Sargent amongst others over teh rest of teh way for his first win of the season.
